Savannah Findley - President

  • Year in school: Junior

  • Major: Child, Adult, and Family Services - Youth option, and Adult & Family option

  • Reason for joining TWLOHA: I joined TWLOHA because my biggest passion in life is helping people. I have suffered with suicidal thoughts and self-harm since I was in 5th grade. I finally reached out for help my first year at Iowa State and started treatment for my depression and anxiety. I want to show people who are experience what I have - and still do - that there is hope and life does get better. I want to show them that they are not alone in their struggles and mental illness is not something to be ashamed about.

Erin Claeys - Social Media Chair

  • Year in school: Freshman

  • Major: Pre-Integrated Studio Arts

  • Reason for joining TWLOHA: I have been passionate about TWLOHA since I found out about it in 8th grade. I've struggled with mental illness in the past and still do to this day; I think it's important for people to be properly educated on mental illness so we can fight the horrible stigmas surrounding it. I don't want people to feel like they have no one to turn to, and want to be there as a resource who has dealt with the same things firsthand.
